“Give the following instructions to the people of Israel. This is how you are to deal with those who sin unintentionally by doing anything that violates one of the Lord’s commands.
Lord, there are times when I know the right thing to do and fail to do it. I know I am guilty in those cases. Yet, here I find I am also liable for unintentional sin. Ignorance clearly is no excuse when it comes to holiness. My conscience may be clear, but that does not make me innocent. But I thank You, Father, that in Your mercy, the blood of Jesus Christ purifies me from all sin – deliberate or unintentional; known or unknown; past, present or future. As both my priest and my sacrifice, He ever lives to intercede for me.
